Scar tissue remediation
During a C-section, seven layers of skin, muscle tissue, and organs are incised, making it a major abdominal surgery. Our bodies are so amazing because they heal themselves by creating scar tissue to bind the incision. However, sometimes, that scar tissue doesn't know when to stop growing and can extend to other organs, even as far up as the heart.
Taking care of your C-section scar can help break down any extra scar tissue and even help reconnect nerves that were cut during the surgery. You can start this therapeutic care routine as soon as 6 to 12 weeks after giving birth, however it can still make a big difference years down the road. Some folks have seen amazing results, even 2 decades after their last C-section.
Getting this type of care early on not only offers benefits in the long run but also provides the added advantage of prevention. By addressing scar tissue early, you can prevent it from spreading uncontrollably. While even clients who had C-sections many years ago can see results after just one session, it often takes them several sessions to fully break down all the scar tissue. In contrast, clients who come to me soon after giving birth tend to require fewer sessions overall.
